When I lunch aftermath (aftermath trace.ost) with following the file: trace.ost.gz I get either: [1] 8890 illegal hardware instruction (core dumped) aftermath trace.ost or [1] 9095 segmentation fault (core dumped) aftermath trace.ost when application is closed. However it doesn't always happen, it seems nondeterministic.
I can see the trace without any problems it only crashes when I exit it. Also it happens with example traces you provided.
I use Ubuntu 18.04 and the most recent version of Aftermath.

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Is just loading the trace and closing Aftermath sufficient to trigger the bug or is any particular interaction with the GUI required?
Yes, it was sufficient to open the trace and then closing Aftermath to get the fault. I sometimes perform basic zoom in/out and move timeline interaction, but nothing more than that. Maybe it's just a problem with my system configuration.
