Landcover

  • Copernicus Land cover classification gridded maps. VERSION 2.1. Publication date: 2019-10-24. Downloaded (only 2018) on 20191209. Global maps derived from satellite observations, from 1992 to present, describing the land surface into 22 classes defined using FAO Land Cover Classification System (LCCS).

Extracted as tiff with:

Product consistent with the series of global annual LC maps from the 1990s to 2015 produced by the European Space Agency (ESA) Climate Change Initiative (CCI):

    • Reef-forming Corals (Hydrozoa and Anthozoa)
    • Sharks, rays and chimaeras (Chondrichthyes)

    • Birds
    • Mammals.
