Describe the enhancement requested

Some times the test suite can sporadically/randomly crash. For example, here, the hypothesis-enabled Python CI build generated some test inputs that seemed to cause PyArrow to crash.

Unfortunately, in such cases, we don't have access to the low-level stack trace (only the Python one, which is not very helpful).
