- use spawn instead of fork to start service, pass additional args - do not bind to service stdout and stderr to allow process exit - use db logger and level - use Buffer.subarray instead of deprecated Buffer.slice

This fixes a process not being able to exit because the socket IPC was keeping references to
stdoutandstderr. It also adds some command level settings and documentation!
