How to type executor response

For the code:

const response = await this.executor({
      document: documentNode
    })

// getData.results is a part of Query object created on my end, see below
const results = response.data.getData.results

return type of executor() method is MaybePromise<MaybeAsyncIterable<ExecutionResult<any, any>>>

In my case (not shown in the example) I need to casti result of executor() to Promise<ExecutionResult<Query>> as then I can get above results without type errors. Otherwise, response above would be of type MaybeAsyncIterable and I am not sure how to type executor to be able to get what I need above.

I couldn't find an example in docs, could you show me what is the proper way to type this?

I just checked if the "data" in response, then the type of response will be ExecutionResult.

You can use the function helper isAsyncIterable from graphql-yoga package to determine if the response is a result or an iterable.

If you don't plan to use @defer or @stream directives, you can safely ignore the iterable case.
