The following mathield is not correctly displayed (as well as the same with a ≥ sign) :
<MATH-FIELD>\text{a≤b}</MATH-FIELD>
The ≤ sign is replaced by the equivalent LaTeX code :

The rendering is correct in Mathjax.

Mathlive version : 0.98.5
