The idea of Blinkstick is great, and that's the reason why I purchased it. That being said, when it comes down to actually using it, it falls short.
Documentation isn't properly written and the effort involved in getting the actual product to run is just too big. Not to mention that if someone is concerned about system resources (or has limited resources available), be prepared to install an entire development environment just to use the device.
300MB+ is just not acceptable when working with an embedded system or something of that nature and while everything can be compiled elsewhere, this is not something the majority of the users will do. The software should be made available as pre-compiled (this exists solely for Windows and is no longer maintained/hasn't been in a long time).
The forums are filled with questions without answers.
It doesn't seem like the maintainers are putting any effort in keeping this project going, even though they are clearly still interested in selling it.
