Footnotes are not properly translated in the PDF backend. The footnote keyword is stripped, but the link remains in brackets using the syntax: footnote:[http://foo.bar.bz]

This issue actually needs to be filed in asciidoctor-pdf (GitHub, why you no let me move issue???)

This is a known limitation atm. In order to implement footnotes, we need to reserve space in the footer of the page and write the content to it, but that logic hasn't been worked out yet. For now, we display the footnotes inline so at least we don't loose them.

Makes sense! Closing in favor of asciidoctor/asciidoctor-pdf#73
