Getting

Error: An error occurred (TooManyRequestsException) when calling the GetRoleCredentials operation (reached max retries: 4): Rate exceeded

when using sam local invoke

It looks like it is caused by the code which is running in sam local invoke. Is your lambda function assumes a role during its execution? Can you give us more details about your use case?
