Does git-secrets work for gitlab too? (though Gitlab has its own secret detection.)

I use it in gitlab, I made a user gitlab-ci that has a gpg key and in pipelines it pulls it's gpg key from the gitlab secrets and uses the job runner to do any git secret commands we want to run.
