No more control input but my steam botton still brings up xbox overlay.

Hello my fellow deck users. Ive ran into a problem, my controls worked just fine when I set it to 360 mode but all of a sudden I get no feedback when in game. None at all, but strangley enough the steam button still brings up the Xbox game overlay. I don't know what to do and I rather not get a second party app. Please help, thank you.
