Why I am getting a tag:invalid badge in this repository? https://github.com/thorcms/language

Sometimes when I check the readme there is a tag:invalid badge instead of the last github tag

I'm getting this a lot, too. And it looks like their examples on the shields.io website is getting it, also (at least at the time of writing this, hence the screenshot):

Something is going on. Some sort of limit is being reached on GitHub's side maybe?
