I want Shields to be its own thing. I don't want Gittip to own Shields forever. I want to bring Shields up to a certain level and then see it leave the nest. We should set up a bank account for Shields and run hosting and other operating costs for Shields through it.

I'm having good luck with Ally over on Gittip.

As mentioned at the time, I don't think this is a good idea. Closing and leaving it up to @espadrine to re-open if he chooses.
