Password to ADMIN ?

hello ! How to get acces to ADMIN ? I have the same password on configuratiion on istall on unraid.
BUt i cannot log in on webui .
Whats wrong ?

The admin password can be set either through the 'ADMIN' environment variable of docker, or if that's not set, it will acquire the password you set the first time you login to the admin portal.

If something has gone wrong, you can find the admin password through console access to the container. Run:
sqlite3 /var/lib/databag/databag.db
sqlite> select str_value from configs where config_id='token';

I just used portainer and your template and it worked, but I used a simple password. Perhaps there is something different between our setup, but also perhaps there is an issue with a character code.

Could you change the password to something basic and see if it lets you get further?

you can change the password with the sql statement:
update configs set str_value='weakpass' where config_id='token';

(dont keep your password weak obviously, this is just to help narrow down the problem)

Hello, appreciate your responses. That worked! Setting it as 'weakpass' gave me access to the admin panel. Strange, what do you think might be causing the other complex ones to fail?

That's good news! I suspect there is some whitespace type character that wasn't being rendendered or some special character that I am not escaping properly. Do you see any special character in your original password that I might not be handling correctly?

These were the special characters that I had included in the initial master password %#$ Just re-checked it again, if the admin password contains any special characters, it fails. This doesn't happen with user passwords.

I make 2 different account, but I cannot whrite from 1 login to 2 login :O i didint see anything, any topic nothing

And How to log in on android ? My login@Ip from my network:port ? does work

First the two logins should be connected.
To connect 'login1' and 'login2':
** In login2:**
select 'Account' from the upper left dropdown
in the right menu, enable 'visible in registry'
** In login1:**
Select 'contacts' in the upper left dropdown
Select 'find new contacts' in the right menu at bottom
The click the 'search icon'
< login2 should show up in the list as a result >
Select login2
click 'save and request'
** In login2:**
Select 'contacts' from the upper left dropdown
< login1 should now appear as a pending contact >
Select login1
click 'save and accept'

Now you should be able to create a topic shared between the two logins.
** From login1 or login2:**
select 'New Topic' from the bottom left
enable the login you want to communicate with
click save

Messages now entered in that topic should be visible to the other login.

when you connect through the webui, if you don't specify a port number, then there shouldn't be a need to specify a port number in android. If the url in your browser is 'https://example.com/'

then to login with 'login1' in android, you would specify 'login1@example.com'

i'm used http, not https, and I cannot connect via app on mobilephone , on website on PC, its work great!

hmm, Im used port forwarding to connect from outside, but I cannot connect , i'm used wifi on house and Login1@ip_lan . error connection, I'm trying used my outside Ip, the same

I need to make some minor changes to the mobile app to have it work with http only, it won't work at the moment. The mobile browser app should however work, any luck with that?

Okay, that's as probably the only way mobile will work for you for now. I'll make the necessary changes to get http only working, but I have a few features I am planning to get done first.

does unraid provide you with a dns name and reverse proxy?

ah! im used noip.me some free dns, im not sure about reverse proxy , I think i have to read about that!

noip.me should work. I am not sure how you installed the databag node, but the containers assume a reverse proxy is used.

You might need to obtain a cert, and pass it to the server at launch. In the following instructions I use certbot to obtain a cert (Step 1), and then I launch the server with https using the aquired certificate (Step 8). If you are using a container, Steps2-7 are already done for you.

okay, ill update this thread when I add support for http (unsecure). For now http (unsecure) only works in the browser.

I still don't support this, but i've been getting more request for this support, so I'll try and enable it soon. I remember there being an android setting to force https only, and I need to verify with fdroid if that's required or not.

Can I ask what your setup is? Why do you prefer to use http over https (given there are free DNS and cert services)?

There are several popular free domain name services, for example duckdns (https://www.duckdns.org/)

letsencrypt provides a free cert service. I use it via nginx_proxy_manager, if not using docker you can run certbot directly.

i have tried with nginx proxy manager. i manage to local with https. but impossible online the reverse proxy does not work. the domain name works online but in http with the port at the end. and i dont understand certbot sry.

To determine if the issue is coming from the app side or the server side, can you create an account on the demo site [https://databag.coredb.org], and see if the app can connect there?

I can create account and log in into databag.coredb.org in mobile databag app with ease, so the problem is my server setting.
My domain is on cloudflare, no proxy.
I use cerbot to get ssl myself and ssl from cloudflare (SSL/TLS encryption mode is Full (strict)).
Standard caching
Using web interface i can log in into databag (home.pongsak.doctor:7000) but not with mobile app which i don't know why.

When I go to create a new account. The server box always show sign error.
