Hi,

Small request: the naming of channels does not seem to be consistent.
On https://www.hifiberry.com/beocreate/beocreate-doc/beocreate-hardware-documentation/,
it's CH1,0,16,17 and on the sound settings page A, B, C, D.

Maybe something like the following would work better, from top to bottom (if I am not mistaken):

  • 30W left (CH1)
  • 30W right (CH0)
  • 60W left (CH16)
  • 60W right (CH17)

Hey,

I see your point about the channel naming. I chose to use these simplified channel designations along with colour to make it easier to remember and differentiate them in day-to-day use of the software. Speaker roles can be freely assigned depending on use case so these aren't included in the designations.

It is not exactly what you ask, but I have suggested the documentation on HiFiBerry website to be updated to include Beocreate channel designations (along with the "true" channel numbers that are there now, as these are necessary for people who want to get their hands dirty with SigmaStudio).

Best,
Tuomas from Bang & Olufsen
