For those of us less familiar with IL it would be awfully nice to see the short instruction description directly instead of in a tooltip (so I don't have to mouse over and hover over every unknown instruction - of which there are plenty a.t.m.).

I.e. the "Pushes a new object reference to a string literal stored in the metadata."-Text in a separate column.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I wanted to wait a bit before answering, but then forgot about this issue 🙈

Do you still consider this a problem? The set of commonly used instructions is rather small and their meaning understood quickly, I believe.

Hence, I don't think the faster access to their doc summary is worth the screen estate or the development cost.

Let me know if you disagree.

not a problem, we all have lives :)

I was actually just poking around in IL because my job may entrail some in the future, but I haven't done much. It's possible the hints won't be necessary after a few days of actually working with IL, I don't know yet. I think an optional, opt-in column (so who doesn't need it doesn't see it) with the info would be very advantageous to me at my current stage.
