We are happy to announce BISDN Linux 5.2.1!
NOTE: Due to temporary unavailability of hardware, this release was not validated on Edgecore AS7726-32X.
BISDN Linux 5.2.1 is a maintenance release and brings several fixes:
- We added missing port definitions for Edgecore AS4610-30T/P which prevented the ports from being visible in Linux (#124).
- We fixed updating ports of learned MAC addresses in the kernel, which previously only worked by accident.
- The port speed is now properly reported on link up. Previously there was a small time window where the speed was not updated yet, occasionally breaking protocols relying on reported link speeds, e.g. LACP or STP.
- Bridges now forward packets with different VLAN type tags correctly, e.g. 802.1Q tagged packets on a 802.1AD bridge. They are treated like untagged packets.
- OF-DPA client utilities do not create log files and leave socket files in /tmp anymore by default anymore (#125).
