Hallo zusammen,

Hello all,

currently there are always problems with the connection between the Samsung phones and the WunderlinQ. The connection is not established automatically but must always be established manually. is it possible that the TFT sends an interference signal during the start of the engine? Before starting the engine everything is fine and after the start the connection is sometimes gone.

Two things: I have also had occasional instances of the Bluetooth connection dropping with a Ulefone Armor 7 phone (Bluetooth V5.0). This seemed particularly bad with WunderLINQ software version 2.60. It has not been so bad since then. I try to update the software version every time a new release comes out.

I also noticed with my previous Samsung Galaxy 10e phone that the Bluetooth connection with the TFT of my R1250GSA would drop occasionally. So I am wondering if there is something in Samsung's Bluetooth implementation which causes problems. Since switching phones to a Google Pixel, I have had no issues.

Hello,

the problem has nothing to do with the BMW TFT.
Samsung S21 Ultra, S20+ no problems. Only now with my S23 Ultra, WunderLINQ is practically unusable, because there is no automatic connection between WunderLINQ and the Samsung S23 Ultra.

Since there are no problems with any other device, the problem is to be found with WLQ, even though you can read about this problem in the Samsung forums.

It seems that other manufacturers have solved their Bluetooth connectivity better. With Sena, GoPro, Skoda, BMW GS etc. there are absolutely no problems.

I use the WLQ App 2.64

Hi All

I have recently picked up a Samsung S23 SM-S911U1, it's currently at the Samsung patch level in the screenshot.

I see the same problem with the phone, it only occasionally reconnects to the WunderLINQ. This is with or without the WunderLINQ app installed. I'll open a ticket with Samsung now that I have a device I can replicate the problem with and provide logs. This happened a few years back with a Samsung update and was eventually resolved by them. This is a Samsung problem, and we are at their mercy. The WunderLINQ BLE settings were tuned according to Apple and Android docs. If they do identify something we can adjust on our end we will of course. I'll also look into whether there is a way I can create a workaround with the app periodically trying to force reconnection.

Just installed the latest Android 14 Beta UI 6.0 and in all test sessions in the garage, WLQ connected to the Samsung S23 again. This was only a small quick test but with a very positive outcome. Only when the behavior is the same with the official version and stable can we say more.

Thanks for the note. That is a good sign.

Reports indicate that this should be mostly resolved with their release of Android 14, S20/21 still are confirmed to have issues.
