@jaredcwhite We could talk about adding more "semantic" colors which would allow us higher level control over color assignments. I've seen it called "text" , "content: , "foreground" or "surface" |

I was working on an update to the Dropbox component and testing it out in both Core and Detroit, and I was scratching my head wondering why the
--bloom-color-gray-700
token which normally is#767676
was displaying as full black (#000000
).Then I discovered that's because Detroit has defined
--bloom-color-gray-700
as#000000
. 😃So…I'm wondering if that's because all usage of that particular shade of gray in the component system really should be black in Detroit no matter what, or if it was due to a special case or two and now we're sort of stuck with it even if we really need a shade of gray.
Maybe we need a "higher level" token to represent a few common "gray-ish" things? Random thought: an
accent-neutral
to accompanyaccent-cool
andaccent-warm
