Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Images look blurry in the timeline, in x(twitter) they look sharper.

Describe the solution you'd like

  • Increase the resolution of images in the timeline.
  • Let the user decide the resolution. (High, Medium, Low Quality)

Additional context

Here is a comparison of the images.

It works fine when you open the images.

When you are using both apps. It really bothers me that images in bluesky are blurrier.

Context:
This happens in my Tablet: Samsung s7 FE - Android 14 - BlueSky 1.91.1
Even when this is more noticeable in a tablet, it also happens in desktop.

Poor quality is noticeable, but I think even worse issue is how bsky scales everything to 2000px widest edge, including smaller images. Upscaling pixel art and low res art looks horrendous and it also takes more storage space on Bsky servers.
