Can not use different disks (C, D, ... partitions) on Windows

Basically, I have a disk called "D" which contains all my coding projects on it. This extension by default opens "C" disk, when I try to switch to "D" using "D:/" (or "D:") it tries to find that folder inside "C:\Users\username_here\D".
