Does the connection count increase when using a concurrency schedule?

When using the concurrency scheduling does the number of connections scale automatically with the concurrency?

I would like my number of connections to scale along with my concurrency count. Is this possible? It looks like it's limited to your starting concurrency number as the connections cannot exceed the concurrency count.
