Sometimes after a new "incremental" backup I notice, that the incremental backup is very large (larger than expected). So this means that maybe there are a lot of new files or a new big file.
To satisfy my curiosity I compare the latest two "incremental" backups, to find that huge file.
As there are thousands of files, that are new or have changed I need to open hundreds of folders and subfolders.
When I then have opened al folders I have to look for files with "MB" at the right (because big files are showed in megabyte, so when I want to find my big file it's the fastest way to concentrate to "MB").
Conclusion: When anybody uses the "differences" feature for this purpose, then it is not user friendly.
So how could this be made more user-friendly?
There are a lot of possibilities:
A) You could show the "modified size" beside each folders. (So not only beside each file, but also beside each folder.) It should take into account the size of all files in all subfolders. So big changes will be seen this way and we would be faster to find the right folder, where the file of interest is in.
B) You could add a checkbox. When the user checks this checkbox, then automatically Vorta opens all folders and subfolders with one click. Then ...
a) you could add the possibility to sort the list according to file-size
b) you could add the possibility to export or copy the list, so that it can be analysed with LibreOffice Calc
