Originally opened as adobe/brackets#3636

Method:

  1. On Windows8 x86 French system launch Brackets installer
  2. Go to Brackets Destination Folder dialog
  3. Observe the default folder path
  4. Click Change button
  5. Click twice on Up one level button in Change Brackets Destination Folder
  6. Observe the folder names

Result:
The default install folder name isn't localized as per the name in system
Expected:
The folder name should be identical with the name in system

This is a known issue that's been around since our earliest MSIs, though I can't find any other bug filed on it right now...

I have a similar problem. Not sure if I should open new issue. I installed in a program files folder on my D disk and I'm not sure anymore how but I triggered this error.
path_not_found
This unix path might be translated correctly in nodeJS to C:\Program_files ... but it won't when you installed in on another disk like myself disks.

@sir-ragna can you file a new bug? I think what you're describing is a different issue.

@peterflynn I'm still not sure what triggered it. I haven't been able to reproduce this. I'll file a new issue if I can reliably do that or if I find out more information about it. I don't want to clutter the issue list with poorly documented bugs.
