Originally opened as adobe/brackets#5796

Description:
Filing on behalf of NJ who found this bug. This is related to adobe/brackets#5795 In [dark-shell] Mac 10.9, a black bar shows in the title bar area if you make Brackets full screen on the secondary monitor. This is a cosmetic issue, but there seems to be a more serious issue if you maximize Brackets on the secondary monitor and then go into Full Screen mode. When you exit Full Screen mode, the Brackets window doesn't resize and the Full Screen button is no longer there.

Repro on Mac 10.9 using this build:
http://webauthoringbuild.corp.adobe.com/builds/brackets/FullScreenToolBarButtonFix10164/mac/
UTR on Mac 10.8

Repro steps:

  1. Install a dark-shell Mac build on Mac 10.9.
  2. Connect a second monitor to your Mac.
  3. Launch Brackets and make it non-maximized.
  4. Move Brackets over to the secondary monitor.
  5. Maximize Brackets.
  6. Click the Full Screen button in Brackets title bar to go into Full Screen mode.
  7. Mouse up at the top of the screen to bring up the Brackets title bar and exit Full Screen mode.

Actual results:
After Step 6, there is a black bar at the top of the screen where the title bar normally is. See adobe/brackets#5795
After Step 7, the Brackets window doesn't resize, so its title bar was hidden by the menu bar, and you can't move it.

bk-full-screen-max-title-bar-hidden-10164

Expected results:
Brackets window resizes when you exit Full Screen mode. Full Screen button is not missing.

Workaround:
If you do Full Screen on the primary monitor, then the problem doesn't occur.

FBNC@dalcala -- please close if you cannot repro with new shell. Thanks!

Confirmed fixed using Dark Shell builds 10655 & 10692 on Mac 10.9. I can never get in a state where I can't resize the Brackets window. Closing.
