Custom Marker image flickers at final position before drop animation

When adding a marker with custom image and drop animation to the map, the marker

• briefly appears at its final location
• disappears
• animates into place

@paulux84 are you able to reproduce this behavior with the raw GMaps JS API? Since this is a GWT wrapper, your description sounds like a possible underlying JS API problem, which would be beyond the purview of this GWT API.
