Brave Freezes when setting up Rewards or Sync Chain

Description

After installation on Kali 2021.1 Brave Stable and Brave Beta, the browser will freeze if you click on any icon/link to setup rewards. It will also freeze when setting up or connecting to a Sync Chain.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open browser

2. Click the Reward Triangle next to the url bar

3. Browser freezes

4. Open Browser

5. Click the hamburger upper right

6. Click Sync

7. Click "Start New" or "I have a Sync Code"

8. Enter code or write code down etc

9. Click OK on either above option and the browser freezes

Actual result:

Frozen Browser. There is no significant CPU usage. I have left it for an hour to see if it would catch up but have always had to kill the process to close the browser and reopen.

To setup rewards and sync features

Every single time you take these steps.
