Double clicking on forward/back buttons (when they're greyed out) causes browser window to restore down or maximize. This is the same behavior which occurs when you double click on the purple blank space between the "reload this page" and "bookmark this tab" icons. But when you double click inside of the url address bar or on the reload this page / bookmark this tab buttons it doesn't happen. The browser should never restore down or maximize upon double clicking greyed out forward / back buttons.
Occasionally, when searching something in brave url / address bar at the top of browser, instead of taking you to the page with the results of your search, it just takes you to another "search the web" brave webpage again (very similar to the default page for me when opening new tab but slightly different). Here's what the two look like:
Only after multiple successive reattempts does it direct you to correct webpage showing search results and once it does it, seems to no longer happen again. Seems to happen quite randomly. If you type your search inside the search box of the webpage shown in above screenshot, it always consistently works, the first time. Just not when done from url address bar at top of browser. It shouldn't redirect to search.brave.com multiple times when searching for something and already on that page. but the actual results of the query page first time.
