Describe the issue you encountered:
You can use hangouts, but if you send a message it fails and says message cannot be sent.
This happens on both inbox.google.com and mail.google.com

Expected behavior:
You should be able to send messages with shields up.

  • Platform (Win7, 8, 10? macOS? Linux distro?):
    All but tested on macOS
  • Brave Version:
    0.11.6
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Login to mail.google.com in Chrome (You may need to turn on hangouts or new style chat option, search google for steps)
    2. Sign in, in Chrome
    3. Go to mail.google.com in Brave
    4. Select someone's name in hangouts
    5. Send them a message
  • Actual results:
    The message doesn't send
  • Expected results:
    The message should send.
