Since it does not work on nodejs 16 and upwards and it is still part of the docs, asking if there is any support still for the native extension? We needed it mainly b/c SSL support only really worked with the native extensions.

ssl auth with certs did not work with normal pg only with native extensions. haven't tested in a long time if that changed though

anyhow, the latest pg-native breaks with node 18 due to openssl 3, so the question is if libpq will continue to be supported or not

works with normal node pg now also, but still pg-native would be favourable
