In RFC 100, there are buildpack spec changes to deprecate positional arguments to build and detect and instead pass those values in through environment variables.

The RFC is approved and merged, but it looks like the spec changes haven't made it into an issue yet.

Could we include this in buildpack api 0.8?

I am working on the related changes to lifecycle (buildpacks/lifecycle#806, buildpacks/lifecycle#807).

Happy to provide a PR.
