getting publication ready

Hi Josh,

so I am thinking about what we'd need to get this into a publishable format and I believe the three aims for publication should be:

(1) Making the code type-safe
(2) Introducing a model-agnostic interface
(3) making an inference on 'many' cells in your last thesis chapter (with or without variational inference)

Would you agree with these or want to add? I think I'd like to work through these in that order, or do you think doing it another way around will be better?
