What the current heat module does:

  • Data-wise
  1. Produce national resolution time series of aggregated heat demand (space heat + hot water. cooking not included)
  2. Produce national resolution time series of heat pump COP
  3. Produce national resolution singled-out aggregated annual demand for hot water, space heat and cooking (in results folder)
  • Model-wise
    Nothing

What it doesn’t do:

  • Data-wise
  1. Time-varying capacity of heat pump → see the rule ofheat_pump_characteristics and cop.ipynb in SCEC
  • Model-wise
  1. Produce the heat technologies default definition .yaml file → see the template euro-calliope/templates/heat-techs.yaml and its 2030 override src/template/2030/heat-techs.yaml
  2. Produce the heat group constraints .yaml file → see the rule of annual_heat_constraints
