When hydra will be released?

Wanted to know when hydra will be implemented on cardano blockchain. Any road map or expected date?

Correct. The roadmap not only shows tentative quarters for when individual features may be expected, but also that we are in fact have many releases along the way. So it really depends what feature scope you are looking for @Shubham-Sahay. Are you working on something specifically which could benefit from the Hydra Head protocol?

Hi @ch1bo , No I am not working on anything related to Hydra Head Protocol. I don't have any knowledge of blockchain development. I am into Data Science/Engineering and would be happy to contribute if something is related to it.

I wanted to know the release date of the Hydra protocol because I own ADA coins and it's been like 70% down for me. I read at a lot of places that once hydra will release then tps for Cardano blockchain can be scaled up to 1 million tps which will surely result in its recovery and that's why I wanted to know about this.

I cannot speak for the impact of Hydra on the price, but I can tell you that it won't be like flipping a switch and everything's fast.

The Hydra Head protocol, the thing we are working on and what is in scope of what you can follow on the roadmap, will be enabling some use cases to process their transactions faster & cheaper if they are compatible with running their business not on main-chain but within Hydra Heads. This will not be possible in all scenarios, especially not in the beginning. But as we will be adding features or creating advanced layer 2 solutions based on Hydra Heads, we will also enable more and more use cases.

As ch1bo said Hydra will not be useful in all scenarios. Solana is very fast now, no comparable with Cardano at all. Cardano will develope pipelining, input endorsers and works in The Basho era. But I'm not seeing how Cardano can surpass Solana, sincerely. Hoskinson made a lot of promises about that, but I can't see it materialised in any way.
