We should check whether links are missed because they are in the formats of [] () or ()[]

Hmm.. I'm happy to commit but there is still another issue here. Even when I don't include any italics, this link doesn't render in my local preview.

screen shot of a callout block that has what should be a link with a caption that says 'Data/Image provided by NOAA', but instead it shows up as markdown formatting because there is a space between the caption element and the URI element

Could be my version of sandpaper (which usually the case, v0.5.6) or maybe a bug?
