VuePress supports adding a last updated date at the bottom of every page. https://vuepress.vuejs.org/theme/default-theme-config.html#last-updated

To enable this in staging/production, we need to include the .git repository when building the static website in the Dockerfile. It can be removed after, doesn't need to ship it.
