[Feature request] Disable modal overlay when changing the theme

It would be helpful if the modal overlay could be automatically disabled when the user selects the Theme dropdown list or if there were a toggle to turn it off. This would enable the user to see exactly what the theme colors look like without having to back out of Settings (or, you know, deselect opacity or visibility in DevTools ... which I didn't think of trying until after I'd already done it the hard way 😆).
