status.net is a software for a distributed open source social network. There are many hundreds of servers in the world - but by now most android clients for status.net are looking ugly and/or they are missing basic functionality.

status.net uses a twitter compatible API. The differences are in the authentication. For status.net you had to enable a way to do the login via username and password. Additionally there had to be a configuration for the path to the API. Additionally status.net supports more than 140 characters. But these should be most of the differences.

Adding a new network takes a huge amount of time.
At the moment i'm not in a place where i can contribute enough time to get it done.

Maybe someone else can pick this up in the future.

Would you accept pull requests for this issue? Then I would try to find a programmer for that.
