Describe the problem

Currently a lot of tooltips are missing. This makes it a bit difficult to know sometimes what certain buttons/clicks do.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add tooltips to the current UI elements which don't have one.

Could you please point out specific places where tooltips are lacking? Such broad scope issues are a bit hard to handle if specifics are not provided.

  • The v next to a channel name that when clicked brings up the room settings

  • The v next to a space name

  • The cancel button in a member search:

  • The member search field having a generic tooltip

  • The room search field (it has two descriptions, but because the other search field has one, i'm listing this too):

Also all text buttons don't have tooltips, but this seems to be an intentional design decision (although I personally don't agree with it)

The text formatting, sticker, emoji, and possibly send buttons (on the right side of the message box) could use tooltips.
The ⋮ next to the space name in the sidebar has no label, but the ⋮ on the right of the search and members button in the room header has a label.
The padlock icon next to the name of private spaces could use a label to indicate what it means.
