我觉得他的行为欠妥，但你自己扪心自问一下，现在这样过度审查，文化娱乐生活全方位管制的国家是你喜欢的吗？为什么中国会是现在这个样子？我们现在缺的是钱么？我们现在缺的是技术吗？还是什么其他的硬件条件？我觉得都不是，恰恰是理想主义者太少了，迂腐麻木的人太多了。李彦宏说中国人比较开放，他们愿意为了一点小小的便利牺牲自己的个人隐私。我想知道这句话你们这些上来就开喷的现实主义者是怎么看的。
他的这个repo绝大多数内容我都没有看，我只看了FAQ。他的意图我理解为为了引起所有人的思考：为什么我们国家会是今天这个样子，我们作为公民是否能够推动它往更好的方向前进？而不是固步自封，满足于圈地自萌。
所有对中国审查制度持无所谓态度的网民都应该感到羞耻，因为这里有一个跟我们国家没有多大关系的外国人在为我们的言论自由发声。

@Kepler-16b 审查制度确实有问题 也确实侵犯言论自由 但是它也有它有用的一面 比如减少青少年看黄片上瘾的现象

但说实话 你看看周围的人 除了我们这种搞技术的 有几个是真的有需求翻墙的？ 非常非常少 就算翻了很多人英语不好也看不懂 真的需要翻墙的人也很容易获取shadowsocks一类的工具来翻墙 也没人去追究他们什么法律责任 比如我们现在不是在这个被墙的网站上行聊的好好的吗？

我想说的重点是 GFW确实有很多问题 但是它却实质上既没有妨碍到不需要翻墙的人的自由 也没有完全阻止真的需要翻墙的人的自由 同时又保护了如青少年之类 容易被色情内容伤害的人群 我以前也认为看个黄片没什么大不了 我后来了解到很多最新的科学研究才知道黄片上瘾的心理危害不比吸毒小 我自己就是受害者之一 这也是引起我对GFW的态度发生转变的原因

It means you love the stance of loving Chinese culture more than actually loving Chinese culture itself.

Let me repeat my point in English.

There're many problems with censorship, and it does infringe people's rights to freedom of speech, I acknowledge that. But at the same time, there're some upside to it, too. For example, it protects teenagers from addction to porn.

To be honest, if a Chinese person looks at people around him, he'll find that there're only quite few people who really have the need to access the other side of GFW. Even if they can, most people don't have enough English ability to understand what they're seeing. People who really needs to get across GFW, can easily do so with the help of tools like Shadowsocks. Nobody is going after them for doing so. We're here talking about censorship on a censored website just fine, aren't we?

My main point is, there're indeed many problems that comes with GFW, but in the real world, it does not hurt freedom of those who don't have a need to access the other side at all. Nor does it totally shutdown the ways for people who really need information from the other side. I used to think that there's no big deal in watching porns. But it's not until I learned from latest scientific studies that the psychological damage of porn addiction is just as severe as drug addiction. I'm one of those victims of porn addiction myself. That's the reason why my attitude towards GFW changed.

I'm a game developer by trade, I criticise (I used "喷" in my original post, which is closer to "insult" than "criticise") Department of Culture and State Administration of Press ("光腚总局" which is an insult word that pronouces the same as "广电总局", it literally means be bureau of naked ass) all the time. You(@Kepler-16b) say we don't have enough idealistic people criticising the government. I'm the prime example of an idealistic person. I gave up very high salaries just to fufill my dream of making indie games. But I really don't agree with @cirosantilli 's actions (which @Kepler-16b thinks I should if I'm also an idealist). I think it's "哗众取宠"(there's no accurate translation for this word, it literally means pleasing the crowd by making people laugh, but it's a very negative word. It implies that something of importance is ignored in sacrifice of this laugh). He himself replied to me on Twitter saying "I'm only doing this for the lolz.", just proved my point. I think he's very arrogant in believing that he has deep knowledge about the situation in China, but in reality he obviously doesn't. He may not even understand Chinese enough to accurately know what we are talking about here. It's typical "叶公好龙"

They feel safe in China. So I guess it's not about right or wrong, just everyone has their own opinion.

I find @cirosantilli 's appearance on these websites really disturbing. Yes, it's his freedom. So I guess my freedom is to complain in his repo and give him a few suggestions:

If you really want to help, please go to learn some Chinese and Chinese culture. Then write some serious papers, and most importantly, using an eye-friendly avatar and about me. If you just want to be famous... congratulations! You already had my eyes!

Who can define "sick stuff" ? Bad news about government or Sexual content ? Should the responsibility on yourself or the government ? China is just trying to control people's mind without let them to have a judgement but only to feed them with what the government think is good for people.

Different cultures have different standards on what's prohibited. Like in America, child pornography is considered taboo, while in Japan it's not. In current Chinese culture, all pornography is forbidden. Culture is not a static thing, it will change as people live and die. When cultures change, what's forbidden will change too.
