This project seems to have reached its end of life and is due for retirement to the CityIndex Attic accordingly.

The goal of this issue is to allow final stakeholder discussion/confirmation and identify resulting activities, if any.

This project has been superseded by our botocross based nightly image/snapshot approach (which in itself is due for supersession by AWS CLi scripts eventually, see sopel/botocross#44).

@mrdavidlaing - as the only still active committer, any objections concerning retirement of this project?

@sopel - please could you also delete the aws_snapshotter user in the AWS cityindex-labs account
