📝 Provide detailed reproduction steps (if any)

  1. Select a widget like image, table or create a row/column selection inside table.
  2. Long press on selected area (image, table cells, etc).

✔️ Expected result

There is a way of copying a selected part of the content.

❌ Actual result

  • For images: Chrome's selected image actions popup is displayed.
  • For other contemt: the "paste into collapsed seleciton" (AFAICS) options are displayed (so I can only paste into selection.

📃 Other details

  • Browser: Chrome Android
  • OS: Android
  • CKEditor version: latest stable

One thing came to my mind of how this could be fixed: A dedicated copy (paste & cut buttons also) for mobiles. It might be enabled only for mobile environments (conditional/dedicated mobile: section?). Another thing is to where to display such button. It would be nice to have somewhere near the selected content (widget outline? next to the "select handle"?)

Definitely needs tome input from @oleq. I wonder whether the issue is also occurring on iOS?

If so we we should mark it with label domain:mobile.

This is somehow related to ckeditor/ckeditor5-design#149.

And yes, we may want some dedicated toolbar displayed on mobiles but this is just a piece of a bigger UX problem. Anyway, just for starters we could add these buttons to image/table toolbars (or to widget toolbar repository as a generic widget feature?) and display them on touch devices only.
