Pesticides

Next, pesticides. Pesticides are very useful for combating little bugs and bacteria. They can decimate populations of bugs that like eating your crops. They can also combat rats with rodenticides (as mentioned above). Pesticides are also very useful for weeds.

Herbicides. Another extension of pesticides. These kill plants like weeds. But with herbicides, a common problem comes up. Weeds start adapting to the pesticide until they get strong enough to not be effected by your herbicides. This can be combatted with even stronger herbicides, but then the loop continues. Herbicides get stronger, weeds get stronger. This continues until you realize your herbicide is so strong it not only kills weeds, it kills your corn.

My main concern with this is lag. That sounds like a lot to check each tick. I won't say it can't or should not be done, but it will take some consideration.
