The action step hangs indefinitely even after successful deployment

The action step becomes stuck at random (less than 5% of the time) even after deploying the website successfully. The job eventually fails after the maximum execution time of 360 minutes.

This has begun happening to us pretty frequently:

We'll go a couple of days without a problem, then suddenly on a given day it will happen multiple times.

Given the deployment is complete but then the job summary is not created, it seems like the most likely place this is getting stuck is the Wrangler command hanging. What are the chances of getting a rebuilt action one of these days that doesn't depend entirely on a CLI hack?
