CodeTrybe Community Code of Conduct

At CodeTrybe, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. As a contributor, maintainer, or member of our community, we pledge to make participation in our project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We believe that diversity is our strength, and we are committed to creating an environment that fosters inclusivity, empathy, and understanding. We are all here to learn and grow together, and we recognize that we each have something unique to contribute.

As members of the CodeTrybe community, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of behavior. We expect all community members to follow these standards, and we will take appropriate action to address any instances of unacceptable behavior.

Our Standards

We expect all community members to abide by the following standards:

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language
  • Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Accept constructive criticism gracefully
  • Focus on what is best for the community
  • Show empathy towards other community members

Examples of behavior that will not be tolerated include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery
  • Insulting or derogatory comments
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without their explicit consent
  • Other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Our Responsibilities

As maintainers of the CodeTrybe community, we are responsible for setting and enforcing the standards of acceptable behavior. We are committed to taking appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior. This may include removing, editing, or rejecting comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct. We may also temporarily or permanently ban any contributor for other behaviors that we deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all members of the CodeTrybe community, both online and offline. This includes contributors, maintainers, and anyone who participates in community events or discussions.

Reporting

If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it by contacting CodeTrybe Admins. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated, and we will take appropriate action to address the issue. We are committed to maintaining confidentiality with respect to the reporter of any incident.

Enforcement

We take our responsibility to enforce this Code of Conduct seriously. Any community member who engages in behavior that violates this Code of Conduct may face temporary or permanent consequences as determined by the CodeTrybe community team.
