Steps taken on Plone 4.3:

  • install collective.oembed and collective.js.oembed
  • add "Youtube" to collective.oembed.interfaces.IOEmbedSettings.allowedProviders registry key
  • create a Link with URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYevBLUtuLc
  • select OEmbed view

Are the above steps correct?

No video shows up, the page is as usual. No Javascript errors. Taking a look at the generated page source, I do see some oembed-related CSS and Javascript.
