The instructions didn't perform as described, 'sudo npm install -g grunt-cli' no password was asked for.

Then after this the trouble shooting should be moved up.

I think having a run through with Johannes some time would be good, as we have refined this doc well, but it still needs a rerun to make sure it works.

There is a grace period on sudo. Once you use it, you have several seconds/minutes in the same terminal to reuse sudo again without typing the password.
