I'm getting this error. I've tried to put javafx both in classpath and modulepath. Even tried exporting it with the module. I tried giving the VM arguments separately (as they are not exported with .jar, for obvious reasons).
Nothing works.

If anyone gets a fix, please let me know here.

The error resolved for me after installing openjfx.
sudo apt install openjfx

Didn't work out for me.

Well, I'm really not sure what was wrong, but I'd to purge java completely, install to a lower version (openjdk-12), and that at least doesn't throw up that error now.
