CoreOS on Digital Ocean sets the 169 IP as the first IP on eth0. This causes fleet to register 169 as the IP of the machine. If you use fleetctl journal externally, fleetctl will try to connect to 169.* to SSH, which fails.

This was actually fixed in fleet v0.8.0, which we just cut: coreos/fleet#861. The next alpha release (>431.0.0) will have the fix.
