How long does cosmos sdk upgrade to a newer version of Tendermint usually?

My application is facing a big obstacle as I need to use non-UTF8 values in events, which can't be queried normally as per #6403.

It will probably be fixed in Tendermint v0.37. If v0.37 is released in Q3 of 2022 as expected, from past experiences, how long do you think cosmos sdk will upgrades to support it too?

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, did you mean you guys always upgrade the newer version of Tendermint as soon as possible? Because Tendermint v0.37 is not yet released.

yes as soon as an rc is out we begin upgrading and by the time the final release is cut we aim to have the cosmos-sdk ready to be released. this is dependent on testing of different things. We are aiming to have a release with the newer version in October, this may not have the new abci methods finalised in the sdk
